The Valentine's Gift ---- Yours or His

With Valentine's Day just a week away, here's a thought...

Did you ever open a bottle of a designer knock-off  perfume instead of the real thing?

Did you ever receive a fake signature handbag a color that doesn't match anything you wear?

Did you ever unwrap a box of some stringy red negligee when you usually walk around in a white beater and a pair of his boxers?

Ladies, do you always get what you want  or at least expect for Valentines Day? Many of us do not. Yes, the economy is bad and we can't be as extravagant as we would like when shopping for gifts, but it is after all once a year, and kind of like another Christmas and Halloween rolled into one with the getting and giving of presents and candy.
I'm not saying you shouldn't appreciate what you have been given or even to expect the ridiculous, (like diamonds when he's struggling to make car payments or college tuition) because you only create the disappointment for yourself. Remember, unless he is a die hard romantic (which most are not, sorry guys) he is not going to be as vested in Valentine's Day as much as we are. Men are tough to shop for anyway, so aside from a few items you know he might like, or better yet, need, we usually make our present to him us.Wouldn't it be nice to get something you really wanted for Valentines Day especially when you feel that that your 'gift' to him is exactly what he wants? We are and will forever be a mystery to most men, and trying to figure out what we would like as the perfect present is not something they want to have to spend too much time doing. Roses and chocolate...mmm....chocolate is always a winner, but is the old 'stand by' what we were expecting as the only gift?
Let's not confuse this with the love part. The one present you should both want from each other is your undying love and passion and your heart first and foremost. Fast forward to the roses and mmm...chocolate. I don't care how much he likes her, he only gives roses (not just flowers) and candy to the one he cares about or at least wants to care about. Still, unfortunately, many men still don't really know what their women like. Now, back to the present(s). Ladies, sometimes we need to (subtly) teach our men what turns us on even more, and what (besides him)  gets the juices flowing and the blood rushing, like the pair of shoes you keep slobbering over every time you both walk by that store in the mall, or the sparkly studs he has to get close enough to you when he wants to see them , or the tiniest bottle of the most man catching scent that he'll only want you to wear around him, or even the teddy that you actually think you look rather hot wearing.  You need to let him know what the effect will be on you, hence the affect it will have for him later. This, they get, otherwise, they're only thinking about the present they are going to get for the one they are going to give no matter what it is.

So, if it wasn't quite what you expected this Valentine's Day, start the lessons now and make sure this year(and next year) you definitely get what you want  too!
